Jesus has a special affection for children. At CCEC we want to help kids grow in their understanding of the Bible and the love of their Heavenly Father. During our services, we desire to allow families to sing praises to God together, but following worship we offer age-appropriate Bible teaching for nursery-aged toddlers through high school-aged young adults.
We offer classes for the following age groups on Sunday mornings at the North Laurel Community Center:
–2 and 3-year-olds
–Pre-K and Kindergarten
–1st and 2nd Grade
–3rd through 5th Grade
–Middle School – High School
–A private room is provided to Mom’s with infants to watch the service adjacent to the main sanctuary.
Sunday Evenings we offer age-appropriate teaching for Nursery through Kindergarten. Older children are encouraged to follow along in their own bibles.
Sunday school teachers and helpers are welcome for all ages. If you are interested in serving in a Sunday school classroom, please contact the church office for a Children’s Ministry application.
“Contenders of the Faith” Bible Study
2:00 – 5:00pm
Every third Sunday of the month.
Geared toward boys ages 6 and up, the “Contenders” Bible Study is focused on growing young men in their faith and helping them build relationships with other boys in the church. The fellowship always includes a hands-on activity, a time of worship, Bible study and dinner. We encourage Fathers to attend with their boys if they are able. Refer to the church calendar or contact the church office for additional information.
“But Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the kingdom of heaven belongs to those who are like these children.”
